Recently
there have been a drastic change in the use of Facebook and other
social networking sites in Bangladesh. According to my survey, previously
student aged from 15-22 in the urban cities of Bangladesh specially, Chittagong
have been using Facebook in particular to interact with friend and friends of
friends. They have been uploading photos sharing status about their lifestyle
and their social activities.
Where
as in the recent times sphere from the late 2010, students are participation in
many social movements and organizing many group or creating events. In the
recent sphere the changes are categorized into EE.

Empowering students for development: Facebook users of the same on the similar
stand can come along and share their thoughts and help change the society. For
instance an interviewee, Tahmeed Chowdhary, in the survey I have conducted have
predominantly talked about his organization that have been successful in the
last 1 year. 'Youths Voice' one of the organization that have been working to
eradicate poverty, it has been successful due to Facebook as it helped him
arrange volunteers for his committee. He also elaborates that not only Facebook
he had continuously updated his status on twitter which has helped him get a
contact with some of the US elites, who helped him get yearly funding from. Hence this shows how the social media previously was an platform
for students just to share their daily issues but now it has helped them interact and help each other in the development of the society.

Encouraging students to
learn more: Social Media like, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, have helped students
increase their knowledge. moreover students those who stay online have been
using Facebook, Twitter or other social medias to spread the knowledge that
they think is important for all the society to know and ensures that they are
enriched in the medium they should. for instance, politics, sociology.
